FAQ
What are Zero Tees?
Zero tees is a safe, sustainable, chemical-free, non-ionic application that permanently adheres to textiles and surfaces to eliminate and prevent the spread of odor-causing and harmful microorganisms.
Are Zero Tees safe?
Zero Tees uses an extremely safe method and technology. Rather than harmful chemicals, toxins, or ions, we use only a pure silver and gold alloy water fuse. An alloy is a combination of 2 or more metals. Zero Tees are manufactured, stored, and applied in distilled water at extremely low concentrations. In fact, the concentrations are lower than the EPA standard for municipal drinking water and are 100% organic and safe.
Do Zero Tees use ions?
Zero Tees does not use ions, therefore the solution will not exchange with human beings like other ionic silvers, coppers, zinc, etc
How does Zero tees work?
Zero tees uses a patented formula and prevision application process to create a permanent, extremely effective barrier against toxic bacteria buildup. It works by breaking down the bonds of the organisms when they come into contact with Zero tees, mechanically dissembling them, and rendering them incapable to multiply.
What is unique about Zero Tees manufacturing?
Zero Tees are non-ionic and do not degrade over time. The manufacturing precision allows us to use incredibly small amounts of the material. Only 1 mg of our non-ionic solution is equivalent to four grains of salt, which can treat thousands of metrics of fabric. In contrast to ion technology like silver and zinc which require up to 100 mg per square meter to be effective. Not only are we chemically free and environmentally friendly, but we also use exponentially less product than any other technology.
Are Zero Tees environmentally friendly?
Zero tees is committed to sustainability and is very environmentally friendly. The application method we’ve implemented is safe, non-ionic, uses very little water, saves energy, and produces zero waste. Since Zero tees's technology binds permanently to fibers after application, it also eliminates leaching and releases into the water supply after washing at home.
Why is Zero Tees treatment safer than other antimicrobial clothing treatments?
The chemicals used by other companies to treat clothing may be more of a health risk than the odor they are trying to eliminate. Some antimicrobial treatments contain triclosan and triclocarban or ionic silver. Wearing this type of clothing could damage our microbiome (a community of good bacteria that aids with digestion, and immunity, and provides other health benefits.) Zero kills bacteria on fabric, but not on your skin, where the good bacteria are located.
Is Zero a chemical treatment?
Zero is a chemical-free, non-toxic, water-based formula that uses only pure organic metal alloys. Our formula is harmless to humans, and the environment, and has no negative effects downstream. The manufacturing process is environmentally friendly and requires very little space and energy.
Why is Zero a safer alternative to a chemical treatment?
Products that use chemical components destroy bacteria that are extremely effective in the short term, but they have harmful effects when they come into contact with skins, are inhaled, or are digested. They also provide only very short-term benefits and are not long-lasting like Zero.
How long will Zero last?
Zero bonds permanently with fabrics, fibers, and surfaces, and will not wash out.
What are the benefits of using Zero on textiles?
Zero permanently enhances fabric with odor elimination, UV refraction, faster drying, and greater cooling power.
· Zero Obliterates harmful and odor-causing pathogens by mechanically disassembling them upon contact and rendering them incapable of multiplying.
· Zero eliminates and prevents the growth of mold and fungus.
· Zero refracts UV, which protects garments from UV degradation and enhances colorfastness.
· Zero enhances evaporation by reducing the surface tension that binds water molecules to the fabric, and Zero fabrics evaporate 60% faster than identical intreated fabrics. The enhanced evaporative cooling reduces fabric surface temperatures by 4-6 degrees.
How is Zero applied to the fabric and other surfaces?
Zero is applied with a unique, patented pressurized atomizing process that uses very minimal product and water. It can be applied by using portable machines, batching machines, or attaching to fabric finishing frames.
Does Zero kill both good and bad bacteria?
There are no good bacteria on fabric or surfaces. Zero kills all surface bacteria (>99.9%) it contracts. Unlike ionic technology that disrupts the healthy microbiome on or inside the human body, it is transferred, exchanged, or absorbed by skin and organs.
